Brand Asset: LinkedIn Best Practices and Profile Banners
To support our efforts on LinkedIn we have created Agorapulse branded banners (fully explained with instructions on how to upload below) and this best practices guide. If you have questions about LinkedIn, feel free to reach out to Theresa@agorapulse.com.
As the largest B2B social media platform, LinkedIn is an important part of Agorapulse’s marketing strategies, especially when it comes to our ideal client profile (ICP) of mid-to-large sized digital marketing agencies. (To find out more about our ICP, please review these documents.)

Beyond being an important marketing channel, a well-developed presence on LinkedIn is a sign that our company is actively managing how our brand is perceived in the market.
When it comes to your personal LinkedIn profile, we recognize that it is exactly that: personal. The best practices outlined in this document are not mandatory. Our hope is that these tools will make it easy for you to integrate your personal LinkedIn profile into the larger organization, should you choose to do so. If you have questions or feedback related to your LinkedIn profile or the Agorapulse page, please contact Marketing via the Marketing Slack channel.

Branded Images
To get you fully engaged with Agorapulse on LinkedIn, we have created images to help you align your profile with the Agorapulse business page. This includes three profile banners that have varying degrees of Agorapulse branding.
Why does this matter? Because when a potential customer or new hire searches our employees, they see a grid of our employees as shown in the image on the right. As you can see, in this view it is very important that each of our profiles are part of a unified whole.
This kind of branding - although subtle - sends a strong message that our company is unified and has a strong mastery over our social media presence: which is a great message to send when you work in the social media space!
Here are the three Agorapulse-branded banner options you can choose for your LinkedIn profile (do not download the images inserted here - they are available in this folder):
Banner A: Subtle, yet distinctive.

Banner B: Get the Agorapulse logo in the game.

Banner C: Embrace the Agorapulse vision!

As you can see, these banners are especially important when a potential customer, client, or partner scrolls through our employees and is greeted with a unified visual cue that tells them our entire company is aligned under a strong, cohesive brand. You can find, and download, these banners here.
Tips for creating a professional LinkedIn profile
When adding your role at Agorapulse to your LinkedIn profile, remember to:
Make sure your profile image is professional and reflects your role in the company - - bonus points for wearing Agorapulse branded clothing!
Clearly state your role at Agorapulse, using your job description as a guide.
Use approved messaging when referring to Agorapulse on your profile. This will align your profile with your co-workers, our corporate page, and the larger Agorapulse brand.
If you would like assistance updating your LinkedIn profile, please send a message to the Marketing Slack channel to request a 15-minute feedback session.

Congratulations - you are now (officially!) a part of the Agorapulse team on LinkedIn!
With great power comes great responsibility
Now that you part of the Agorapulse LinkedIn family, it’s time to join the conversation. Remember, the first rule of LinkedIn is to use your good judgment when interacting with others in your posts, comments, or reactions. This includes, but is not limited to:
Confidentiality: Do not disclose customer information, company revenue, future product features, or any other information that is proprietary or sensitive in nature. If in doubt, please contact the Marketing team for clarity.
Kindness: Treat everyone like a customer; no name-calling, fighting, swearing, or otherwise unfriendly behavior. Follow the golden rule of posting: if you’re not sure if you should post something, don’t.
Liability: Do not speak on behalf of the company. If you are asked for a statement concerning company operations or policies, please contact the Marketing department.
Professionalism: Use work-appropriate images featuring business casual clothing and language.
Tip:
Posting your own content? That’s great! Don’t forget to include a high-quality, professional image. According to LinkedIn, posts with images receive 98% more comments than those without.
Extra Credit
Want to go the extra mile to support Agorapulse on LinkedIn? That’s great! By regularly interacting with Agorapulse posts you can help amplify our messages so they reach more people. Doing this is simple. Just like and share the posts on our Agorapulse page that you find particularly interesting, ideally at least once per week.
Have questions? The Agorapulse Marketing team is here to help! Simply send us a message via the Slack Marketing channel.
P.S. Occasionally, you will be asked to promote a particularly important message through our employee advocacy tool. When that time comes, instructions will be provided so you know exactly how to support our initiatives on LinkedIn. It’s that easy!
